UPDATE:

This piece is being featured on The History Channel's "Larry the Cable Guy - Only in America". I will post when I find out when the episode will air. I have signed the release papers for it already.

I have been accepted to exhibit in the Colorado Gothic Arts Festival in May of this year. I wanted to do a special piece for this show and I began thinking about the changing meaning of the word "Gothic" over the years in America. I thought about Grant Wood's work "American Gothic" in the context of today's meaning of the word "Gothic". I had a mental flash that became this pencil work. I find at least a few layers of humor in it. I hope you enjoy it too! Thank you Grant!
