Columbine Creek – Pencil
Dr Grip 0.5 on Beinfang Paper
I have received several comments that much of my art is the “same”. These were well meant comments relating to the fact that several of my pieces are faces or parts of faces expressing various emotions. This is true. I decided (partially based on this) to branch out and attempt something I had not ever tried. This is my first attempt to pencil draw a scene from some of my mountaineering. This piece is done from a photo I took last summer of a waterfall on Columbine Creek on the west side of the continental divide just south of Rocky Mountain National Park. I see several things I could have improved on but for a first attempt I am reasonably pleased. It took FOREVER to do though and I lost patience more than once. I debated whether or not to post it but all in all I am satisfied so I decided to share it with you. It is a very peaceful place so I hope it brings you peace!
