This is as close as The YEti gets to a drawing a cartoon or comic frame. Thanks to Adam for anything good here and blame me for the crappy parts!

I thought this a rather humorous way to make a point. I look through a lot of pencil art here on DA and one day I found an exceptional piece that looked like a poster-sized b&w photo. It had about 200 comments most of which consisted of something like "Oh My Gawd...That is INCREDIBLE!!". Way down the list I saw a critical comment about some portion of the shading. It was borderline rude and I looked at the portion it was criticizing and it was near flawless. I decided to find out who authored the comment so I followed the link. The deviant in question had a gallery of crap that looked like a child had scribbled on a piece of cardboard. I really began to wonder where that deviant got off making that comment.
I believe there is value in honest critique that is helpful or constructive when needed. This was not that kind of a comment. This piece is my commentary on that event.
Completely agree, comments like "copying the american gothic, duh!!!, yes, but point was humor not trying to make a statement with original art". The guy that comments on your art that points out that this or that is to dark or Gandoff hair was to short....hmm! I went to his website....he's drawing stick figures or blob figures with gold crayon and leaves a hole for a mouth. Yes, talent indeed for a my 5 year daughter maybe. Yeti, dude your art rocks, so rock on with and bring it on..... EvergreenScott
I love this piece because so many people will do just what you are talking about. The same goes for writing. I've had people comment on my pieces and say something about them negatively, but then, their work is not that great either. *shrugs*
What can I say, my friend, but that you would defintely kick some serious butt as a cartoonist NO LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kid is just trying to sound important. An artist must create as often as possible. To cease this task is, to the soul of an artist, as ceasing to breathe.
lol...no prob.....i think i'd actually like to know why people who don't realise their own inadequacy make such comments....is it out of jealousy? out of pure fact? or out of realising their own inadequacy but failing to admit it. sigh....
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
